Do you know any students heading into college who want to serve their country in the Armed Forces?
The State of Texas offers a scholarship to these young patriots. My office is now accepting applications, and the deadline for me to nominate a student is July 31, 2019. Please contact my office if you know someone interested at District150.Swanson@House.Texas.Gov
The amount of the award will be the lesser of
a) $10,000; or
b) an amount not to exceed the student’s cost of attendance less the total amount to be paid to a student for that academic year for being under contract with one of the branches of the armed services of the United States and other financial assistance.
A student may receive a scholarship for four of the six years allowed for graduation.
